Construction progress is brisk at the new rec center / auxiliary gymnasium project, now fully connected to the elementary school.

Drywall, tape and texture were being completed last week with interior paint on the schedule for this week. Siding along the entryway will be finished in the upcoming week with parking lot demolition on the calendar for July as well.

Once the building is completely sealed, flooring will arrive and be installed throughout the building — apart from the gymnasium floor and bleacher installation. Those two projects are the final items on the construction to-do list.

School board chair Todd Grohs said that he is enthusiastic about the on-schedule progress, “I’m excited where we’re at.”
