The City of Wessington Springs will hold the annual city-wide cleanup day on Monday, May 3.
Although the program is designed to help community residents pick up and clean up, there are some restrictions as to what they will haul away.
The City employees will only pick up tree branches, white goods (appliances), furniture, and carpet. City employees will begin pick up of specified items placed along the curb starting at 7:00 A.M. on Monday Morning, May 3rd, 2010. All tree branches must be placed horizontal with the curb for easier pickup.
UNAUTHORIZED WASTES INCLUDE:
NO HOUSEHOLD TRASH
Cardboard, plastic, styrofoam, foam rubber, other packaging materials, containers of paint, sealants, adhesive and similar wastes. These items can be disposed of with your regular garbage service.
They will not pick up tires or batteries during this clean-up.
The City of Wessington Springs is not responsible for any damage to lawns..
