The Wessington Springs area will have another veterinarian when Travis White and his family move here sometime in the middle of next month.
White is still attending veterinarian school at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. He and his wife, Nann, have three daughters, ShyAnn (8), Kimber (6) and Cale (2).
He will begin his practice at the Prairie Livestock Supply Co. in Wessington Springs. White answered an advertisement placed by Prairie Livestock Supply and later interviewed for the opening. “They flew my family and me out (to Wessington Springs) and we took a look around the town and decided that it is where we wanted to go,” he said. “We had lunch with some chamber members, Matt Orstad and Superintendent of Schools Lance Witte and his wife and really enjoyed meeting those people.”
White’s practice is going to be a full service clinic, he said, but expects it to be predominantly large animal. The family is presently looking for a house for rent.

Wow, Looks like Wessington Springs is going to have a population boom. We are hoping to move there, too, in June/July.
