“It’s good to be back in town!”
Tyler Easton was on hand at the Wessington Springs basketball games last Monday night. He has battled cancer over the past few months and although he lost his left leg in the ordeal he was getting around very well on a pair of crutches.
Everyone who knows Tyler is certain he will be getting around better than most of us once he is fulled healed.
The night featured a benefit for Tyler with the help of many volunteers and friends.
You could tell by the look on his face that he really meant it when he said, “It’s good to be back in town.”
It looked like nearly everyone in town donated items for the giant bake sale at the benefit. A half court shot contest was raffled off (no one hit their shot).
“Tomorrow is another day” wrist bands in support of Tyler were also sold at the benefit.
He is a 2007 graduate of Wessington Springs High School and the son of Rick and Brenda Easton, Wessington Springs.
Another benefit is planned in the near future.
