The fifth annual Weskota Manor Avera Scarecrow Festival is underway until October 2, 2009. The public is invited to construct a scarecrow for display at Weskota Manor Avera. Your scarecrow can reflect your business, your family, or your hobbies, and should be a minimum of three feet tall. Make sure it has some identification on it so people know whose it is. It works well to attach the scarecrow to an electric fence post and stick it in the ground. Electric fence posts are smaller around and won’t leave a hole in the lawn as much as regular fence posts.
