SACC Scholarship for WSHS Graduates

The Springs Area Community Club is offering one $1,000.00 scholarship to a graduate of the Wessington Springs High School who is currently attending a school of higher education.

The Scholarship will be given on the basis of Community Service and will be selected from the applicants by the Scholarship Committee of the Springs Area Community Club.

The scholarships will be dispersed $500 per semester to an accredited institution of higher learning (University, College, Technical School, etc.).

Scholarship applications are due May 1, 2009 at the above address.

SPRINGS AREA COMMUNITY CLUB (SACC) president Matthew Orstad (left) presents a $600 check to Springs Area Bus representative Delores Schimke at the club’s regular meeting on Tuesday, February 10. The money was raised by the club’s annual chili feed. The club donates to many worthwhile organizations and individuals throughout the year. They raised much of their money through sales at their Springs Consignment Store and the baseball park concession stand.
