THE POST 14 AMERICAN LEGION/VFW COLOR GUARD presented the flag during the doubleheader basketball games in the Springs gym last Friday night. The group was made up of veterans -- some still active-- in their dress uniforms. Shown are, from left, John Dornbush, Ed Schroeder, Reed Engle and Katie Hine as they presented the colors as Sandy Jones, Wessington Springs, sang a beautiful acapella version of “The Star Spangled Banner”. The whole scene made everyone proud to be an American.
