The dental clinic owned and operated by Dr. Jack Krueger, Wessington Springs, has become part of the Horizon Health Care, Inc., system. Dr.Krueger, who has been in private practice for more than 50 years in Wessington Springs, will continue to provide the same high quality dentistry and services on which he has built his practice, now enhanced by a fully electronic patient chart and digital x-ray capability, as well as the services of a full-time dental hygienist.

Office hours will be Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. A renovation and expansion of the dental clinic is being planned, and recruitment is underway for a second full-time dentist which will allow additional hours of operation.

Dr Robin Hattervig of Howard is Horizon’s Oral Health Director, and Teresa Maier of Howard is the Oral Health Office Manager. Horizon Health Care, Inc. operates Community Health Centers in 10 rural South Dakota communities, including dental practices in Howard, DeSmet and Martin. Federal grant funding from the Bureau of Primary Health Care enables health centers to offer sliding fee scales on medical and dental care, allowing patients to pay according to their ability.
