THE WSHS AG DEPARTMENT SPONSORS the annual FFA fruit sales in the area each holiday season. Tons of apples, oranges, grapefruit and pares are sold by the students who run the operation like a business. In addition to the educational value of the project, it offers area residents to opportunity to have bulk quantities of fruit around for the holidays. Randy Schaller is shown above with some of the 51 cases of fruit he sold this year. The fruit is purchased through TJ’s Food Store in Wessington Springs and proceeds go to various FFA programs.
