Evans to run for U.S. Senate as Independent
A thirty-nine year old Wessington Springs native, Kurt Evans, has entered the race for the U.S. House of Representatives.
He announced his plans to challenge Sen. John Thune, R-SD, on Monday, Appril 5.
He ran for the U.S. House in 1996 and for the U.S. Senate –as a Libertarian– in 2002.
He is the son of Linda Cosby, Wessington Springs, and the late Kyle Evans, formerly of Wessington Springs.
