A NEW PICNIC SHELTER is going up in the Springs City Park, immediately west of the information center. A crew from Evergreen Construction is shown working on the structure last week. Materials were bought at cost at the local AmKota Farm and Home Supply Store. The Springs Area Community Club (SACC) paid for the materials along with the proceeds from a Foothills Singers concert that was held in the Free Methodist Church. Labor was donated by Evergreen. It is expected that the new shelter will be ready for the Fourth of July holiday.
