THE SPRINGS ELEMENTARY 5th and 6th grade classes were already raising money to help make life better for a school girl in Haiti when the earthquake hit last week. The kids and their teachers, Connie McLaughlin and Kelli Schryock, already had over $500 saved to help Remica Dahana Raymond in school. The students and teachers realized that the country could use the money now and it is going to a relief fund that gives 100% of the money to the victims. The rest of the story tells about how the classes’ relationship with the girl from Haiti came about and can be found in your copy of the True Dakotan.
