The Woonsocket/Wessington Springs Blackhawks earned their second win of the season last Friday in an exciting homecoming game. The Blackhawks defeated Sunshine Bible Academy 20-18 in overtime. After being tied at 12 at the end of regulation, SBA got the ball first in OT and scored on their first play to go up 18-12. Their two-point conversion was no good. The Blackhawks responded with Kole Kopfmann scoring on a four yard touchdown run. Kole also scored the two-point conversion to win the game. Kopfmann also led the defense with 19 tackles. Collin Baumgart chipped in with 14 tackles. Ty Kenobbie had 3 QB sacks. On offense Baumgart had 128 yards rushing and Kopfmann had 91 yards rushing. Next up the Blackhawks play Hitchcock-Tulare in Woonsocket on Friday at 7:00 pm.
