The Wessington Springs Owls traveled to 4-Corners on Sunday to begin Pony Hills League play and slugged their way to a 12-8 victory.
Adam Kaus earned the victory pitching completing 7 innings. Nathan Hainy came in for the final 2 innings and did not allow a run.
The Owls banged out 20 hits with 6 of those being home runs. Nathan Hainy led the home run derby by hitting 3 home runs.
Adam Kaus, Jay Fischer, and Brian Kolousek each hit one home run apiece. Lee Fischer and Kevin Mebius had 3 hits also.
Next the Owls host Chamberlain on Thursday at 8:00 pm. Sunday they are at Huron and play at Plankinton next Thursday (June 11).
