TRADITION RUNS DEEP in Alpena, a 126-year old Jerauld County community. Brett Kopfmann (left), of Alpena, was a member of the Wessington Springs High School class of 2009. But the family also celebrated that it has been 70 years since his great grandmother Golda (Peterson) Tebay (right) graduated, 50 years since his grandfather Darrell Tebay (second from right) graduated, and 20 years since his aunt Candi (Tebay) Olson (second from left) graduated. The first three generations graduated from Alpena High School, but with Brett attending WSHS, they’ve all graduated from Jerauld County.
