Elementary lower grades celebrate 100th day of school

Wessington Springs elementary lower grades students celebrated the 100th day of school on Wednesday, February 1. As part of that celebration, the kids in kindergarten through third grade tried to collect 100 items for the local food pantry. They are a group of over-achievers as they brought in 124 items that will be taken to the local food pantry. “It shows what respectful and caring citizens we have at Wessington Springs Elementary,” said Becky Bell-Krueger. Shown is a representative from each of the participating classes. They are, from left: Kaden Wolter, second grade; Luke Knipfer, third grade; Marissa Dornbusch, kindergarten; Marlen Enriquez, first grade.
