Jerauld County Deputy Sheriff Jason Weber encountered a tree with three eagles perched in it on the Alpena corner while on patrol on February 17, 2009. The birds cooperated long enough for him to take several pictures. They were located on U.S> Highway 281 and 221st St. (Alpena corner) “I don’t think the middle one was a bald eagle but when it took off it sure had a big wing span! he said. “The bottom one had some sort of “dinner” in its paws.”
