If you have ever been in need of an ambulance in and around Jerauld County, you were happy to see the Jerauld County Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) crew arrive on the scene. Highly-trained, dedicated individuals man the local ambulance with 24 hour service, springing into action when a medical emergency arises.
Local EMT’s (Emergency Medical Technicians) are shown during a recent monthly training held at the Fire Hall on 7/15/10. There is a need for additional EMT’s.
To address that need the Jerauld County Ambulance Association in cooperation with Avera Weskota Memorial Medical Center will be holding an EMT Basic Course for new EMT’s. The class will be offered through the School of EMS at Avera McKennan through video conference at Avera Weskota Memorial Medical Center.
The class will begin on August 30. Those interested should contact Dick Powell, President of the Jerauld County Ambulance Association by August 15th at 539-1201 days or 539-1881 evenings.
Help make sure that someone is always there to respond toa 911 call.
