To the editor:
It’s hard to fully express how much we enjoyed this year’s Spartan basketball team.
Coach Huether and his staff, the players and cheerleaders all represented themselves and their community with perfection throughout the entire season.
Congratulations to all of the parents and families... you must be profoundly proud of the young men you have shared with the Wessington Springs community.
We didn’t attend a lot of games in person, but thanks to the Venture WSHS channel and Marcus Damm’s professional play-by-play, we enjoyed nearly all of the games, as well as allowing us to follow a really great Lady Spartans season.
And finally, congratulations to the boys team for your consolation championship performance at the State B basketball tournament. You proved that great things happen to individuals who combine their talents and hard work with teammates who share the same aspirations.
Thanks to Ryder, Parker, Colby, Brock, Blake, Karter and the future Spartan players on this team who will carry on this tradition of excellence into the future.
