Darleen wrote her news Monday morning and Delia got it later in the forenoon. Darleen enjoyed the roast beef dinner and peach cobbler from the Manor kitchen.

Monday evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Chicago White Sox. The Twins won 7-0.

Tuesday Darleen enjoyed the pork sandwich, cheesy potatoes and grapes from the Manor kitchen. Marlys Shryock visited Darleen in the afternoon. In the evening Darleen watched the Minnesota Twins play the Chicago White Sox. The Twins won again 6-5.

Vera Salter was hostess for our 9 a.m. coffee on Wednesday. She had colorful polka dot plates and napkins and served delicious, filled pastry. Enjoying the food and fellowship were Darleen Higgins, Lorraine Schultz, Luella Teveldal, Kathy Larson, Joyce Mees and Darleen Cuppy.

Darleen enjoyed the chicken, potato salad, peas and cheesecake from the Manor kitchen. At 2 p.m. bingo was played. Lyle Pawlowski called the numbers. Enjoying the afternoon were Joyce Mees, Ruth Jensen, Doris Deneke, Darleen Higgins, Lynette Marken, Marlys Shryock, Shirley Bender, Marilyn Robbins, Luella Teveldal and Darleen Cuppy. Joyce Mees furnished a delicious peach dessert for coffee. The Minnesota Twins played the Chicago White Sox in the evening. The Twins won 6-3.

Thursday Darleen Cuppy rode the bus with Rhonda LePage to Angie Mentzer’s beauty shop for her 10:30 a.m. appointment. The Minnesota Twins played the Chicago White Sox at noon. The Twins won again 6-3! Elaine Roetman visited Darleen Cuppy in the afternoon.

Friday Darleen enjoyed the chicken and noodles casserole, carrots and fruit crisp from the Manor kitchen at noon. Darleen’s daughter Candi Sails brought supper from the Cone Zone of mini shrimp and French fries. They were delicious! In the evening the Minnesota Twins played the LA Angels. The Twins won 5-3.

Saturday Darleen enjoyed the hot dog, macaroni and cheese, tomatoes and blueberries from the Manor kitchen. In the evening the Minnesota Twins played the LA Angels again and won Big 16-5!

Sunday Darleen was planning to go to church but woke up with a bad headache, so she stayed home and rested. It was raining very hard – Darleen had not heard how much rain was received in Wessington Springs. Darleen watched the Christian Worship Hour on TV. At 3 p.m. the Minnesota Twins played the LA Angels. The Twins won again 11-5. Darleen ordered a chicken supper with coleslaw etc. from the Cone Zone. Candi delivered it.
