My grandparents, Charles and Winifred Miller of Lane, were good friends of the Noyes. My Dad, Ken Miller and his brother George Miller were also friends of the Noyes. My niece Willow, married Wilma’s grandson, Jeff Noyes. The Noyes were originally from the same county in Iowa, Shelby County, that the Barbers were from. My Grandpa, Charles, helped the Noyes take their property from the train in Lane to their place on Thanksgiving Day when they moved to Jerauld County. They had not known each other in Shelby Co Iowa. Charles J Miller was the only one of a large family of Millers near Harlan Iowa to move to Dakota. But most of the large family of Barbers made that move.
