 Theresa Marie Bradley, 73, of Sturgis, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating. Burial wAS Monday, December 20 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

Theresa was born January 31, 1937, at Sandpoint, ID, to James Albert and Ora Marie (Brashears) Courtway. She was one of five children including three brothers, Raymond, Frank, and Jack, and one sister, Lodi. She grew up in Sandpoint where she attended school.

She has two sons from her first marriage, Clifford Jr. and Steve.

She married James Bradley on July 14, 1962, in Prairie River, ID. They lived in Noxen, MT, for two years before moving to Wessington Springs, SD, where they raised their family. They moved to Sturgis in 1983.

Theresa’s life-long focus was her family. She was a homemaker, wonderful cook and baker, Daughter-in-law, Sister, Aunt, Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma. Theresa was the primary baby-sitter for several of her grandchildren and cared for many other children throughout the years. She will be fondly remembered by many for her homemade Christmas cookies, jellies, and pies. She loved camping and spending time with family and friends and snuggling with her beloved small dog “Mo”.

Survivors include her husband, James Bradley of Sturgis; five sons, Clifford “Junior” DeBord of Brainerd, MN, Steve DeBord of Minneapolis, MN, Jim Bradley of Phoenix, AZ, Mike (Kris) Bradley of Rozet, WY, and Mark (Cathy) Bradley of Rapid City; two daughters, Debra Buringa of Miller, SD, and Sheila (Jeff) Jamison of San Antonio, TX; twelve grandchildren, Derek Bradley, Dustin Hines, Stacy Matteson, Jessie Hines, Matthew Bradley, Brett Miller, Kelsie Arnison, Tyler Bradley, Mitchell Bradley, Cassie Bradley, Kirstie Bradley, and Trey Bradley; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack (June) Courtway of Vanocker, WA.

Her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Frank; and her sister, Lodi, preceded her in death.
