Robert (Bob) Eugene Becker, 82, of Hot Springs, AR died Sunday, June 6, 2010. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Hot Springs, AR with the Rev. C.B. Baker officiating.

Bob was born February 20, 1928 in Sioux City, IA to Ralph and Eunice Becker. Bob served in the US Army. He was a retired general manager with New York Life Insurance. He married Ann Weeldreyer in November of 1958 in the Alpena Methodist Church. Ann is the daughter of the late Mike and Minnie Weeldreyer.

Bob and Ann had four sons and raised them in the Minneapolis, MN area. The family attended many football games and wrestling meetings as all four boys were very athletic. Ann is an R.N. and Bob sold New York Life Insurance for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Ann, Hot Springs, AR; and four sons: Robert E. and Pam Becker, James A. and Leslie Becker, Charles J. and Heidi Becker, all of Minneapolis, MN, and Thomas E. and Caroline Becker of Des Moines, IA; nine grandchildren; one brother, John Becker; two sisters, Ruth Harris of Payton, AZ and Joan Oswald of Yankton, SD; In-laws, Thelma Hennager of Rapid City, SD; Edwin (Bud) Weeldreyer of Sioux Falls, SD; Marleen Caffee of Rapid City, SD; Darleen and Howard Cuppy of Wessington Springs, SD; Bob and Shirley Weeldreyer of Woonsocket, SD; and Jim Griggs of Hartford, SD; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Becker.
