Michael Doering 52 of Huron was called to his heavenly home Saturday evening July 24, 2010 in Huron. Funeral services were held at 10:30 am Thursday, July 29, at the United Methodist Church in Wessington Springs with Pastor Jan Price officiating. Burial was in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Michael Alan Doering was born on January 9, 1958 at Wessington Springs, SD to Orville and Evelyn (Hines) Doering. He was raised on the family farm southwest of Wessington Springs.
He graduated from Wessington Springs High School. Following his graduation he worked of the family farm until he moved to Huron, where he worked for Dakota Pork. He has worked for the City of Huron for the past 18 years.
Michael is survived by a daughter Alisha Van Dyke of Mission, SD, a son Matt Doering and his wife Jayna of White Lake, SD, his mother Evelyn of Wessington Springs, SD, five grandchildren William, Alex, Stephen, Jacob and Joshua, four brothers Neal Doering and his wife Deb of Wessington Springs, Gary Doering and his wife Andrea of Cavour, SD, Charles Doering of Sioux Falls and Dave Doering and his wife JoAnn of Mitchell, two sisters Joyce Carmichael and her husband Rick of Salem, SD and Janice Bich and her husband Doug of Cavour, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orville.
