OBITUARY

Maurine Jessie Lamley, 90, of Sturgis,SD died June 7, 2010 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 AM at Rose Hill Cemetery, rural Wessington on Friday, June 25, 2010.

A memorial service was held on June 14, 2010 at her residence at 1239 Pine Street in Sturgis with the Reverend Harold Delbridge officiating.

Maurine was born September 20, 1919 in Hanson County, SD to Claude and Margaret (Parnell) Hildebrandt. Maurine was one of 14 children. She married Fred Miller and to this union her only son Gene was born. After Fred’s death she married Robert Lamley, who died in December 2009 at Sturgis. Maurine lived the last several years in Sturgis.

She is survived by her son Gene P. Miller of Sturgis, SD; brother Les Hildebrandt of Gillette, WY; two sisters Doris Bowker of Dakota City, NE and Marguerite Riiff of Long View, WA. She is also survived by her special friends Jesse and Dennis Levin of Hereford, SD and Susan and Alicia Miller of Sturgis, SD. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Fred Miller and Robert Lamley; brothers Linton, Jim, John, Vern, Archie, Ed, Keith and Duane and sisters Elsie Schroeder and Ella Grout.
