Karen Willman 68 of Wessington Springs died Sunday evening July 11, 2010 at the Faulkton Area Medical Center in Faulkton, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 15 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wessington Springs with Fr. Jim Friedrich officiating. Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery rural Wessington Springs.
She grew up in the Wessington Springs area and graduated from Wessington Springs High School, then attended beauty school in Rapid City.
She married Robert L. Willman on Sept. 1, 1962 in Wessington Springs, SD. She lived in the Wessington Springs area where she worked at Weskota Manor and then she enjoyed providing day care at Heart to Heart Day Care and then in her own home. She truly enjoyed following and attending all activities of her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.
Those grateful for sharing her life are two daughters Darla Warkenthien and her husband Laine of Miller, SD, Karla Hall and her husband Kurt of Faulkton, SD; two sons Rodney Willman and his wife Amy of Rapid city, SD and Randy Willman and his wife Linda of Wessington Springs, SD, twelve grandchildren Andy, Ashley, Adam, Rebecca Grassel and her husband Jared, Alex, Eric, Kadye, Kent, Kyle, Jacob, Blake and Bailey, two great grandchildren Jalyn and Rylan, two brothers Jack Teeslink and his wife Sue of Wessington Springs and Charles Teeslink and his wife Judy of Iroquois, SD, four sisters Janice Reiners and her husband Marvin of Black Hawk, SD, Scheryll Schlenker and her husband LeRoy of Rapid City, SD, Nyla Reider of Deadwood, SD and Pegge Teeslink of Lane, SD and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert in 1989, one brother Lloyd, sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Odin Ness, sister-in-law Lila Teeslink and a brother-in-law Denny Reider.
