Arlene L. Bubel, 72, went to be with the Lord November 30, 2009. She was born in Pipestone, MN February 9, 1937 to Harold and Grace (Roberts) Gilmore. She married Ronald R. Bubel in March of 1957 in Pipestone, MN.

Arlene graduated from Pipestone High School in 1955.

Arlene worked closely with her husband in their chiropractic practice in Wessington Springs, and Huron, SD, as the office administrator and x-ray technician until their retirement.

Arlene is survived by her children, Janet (Michael) Mignard, Andover MN, Mark (Tina) Bubel, St. Paul, MN, Debra (Randy) Strobridge, Grand Haven, MI, Trisha (Michael) Sweet, Edina, MN. Ten grandchildren, Ethan Mignard, Kristen and Grace Bubel, Sarah, Elisabeth, Andrew, and Rachel Strobridge, and Emily, Matthew, and Abigail Sweet. Her brothers William (Mary) Gilmore, Savage, MN Dale (Kathy) Gilmore, South St. Paul, MN, her sisters in law, Lois Berndt, Shoreview, MN, Eileen Pierce, Effingham, SC and brother in law, Norman Bubel, Pasco, WA. She had many nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ronald.

Memorial services was Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the South Canyon Baptist Church, 3333 W. Chicago, with Pastor Paul Lloyd and Pastor Brent Reeves officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established and can be sent to The Bubel Family, PO Box 127, Hill City, SD 57745.
