Although van loads of Jerauld County area SDSU fans headed south to Frisco, TX to witness the Jacks win their second straight FCS National Championship in person, plenty of fans remained in South Dakota. On Sunday afternoon in Wessington Springs, you could find plenty of locals decked out in yellow and blue at Pin Twisters Bowling Alley on Main Street, the official watch party location for Jacks fans in Springs.

The Jacks are the first team to win consecutive FCS titles since North Dakota State won three in a row from 2017-2019. The Jacks are also the first team besides the Bison (who also won five straight between 20112015) to win consecutive championships since Appalachian State won three in a row from ‘05-’07. With the victory, the Jackrabbits (15-0) extended their overall winning streak to 29 games, including their win over North Dakota State in last year’s FCS game for their first national title.
