I’m sorry about the website. Those of you who write to tell us you are regular visitors haven’t found much new “stuff” on the site lately.

Pheasant season has taken a lot of my time since the middle of September, when I started guiding hunters from all corners of the nation. The birds have been plentiful and the hunts successful, especially since the corn/bean harvest has gotten into full swing. The harvest has been late due to the cool summer and wet fall conditions, but the combines are rolling all around Jerauld County as of this writing.

Every waking minute I’ve had has been hunting, putting the True Dakotan together, eating or resting, so it’s good to have a little break after about 30 hunts.

A pretty good piece of last week was also taken up when our son, Korrie, had surgery on a pinched nerve in his neck. Five days before that his wife, Cheryl had major surgery. We’re pretty happy to report they are both improving nicely.

Well, enjoy the new items on truedakotan.com and expect items to be posted with more regularity than during the past six weeks.
