I’m going walleye fishing on the Missouri River west of here tomorrow, so if I’m going to be out of the office (True Dakotan) for the day, I thought I’d better get some things done.
After spending most of the day working on next week’s edition of the newspaper, I went home and caught up around there. Spring is “springing” around Wessington Springs –hey, that’s cool– these days! So I pumped up two tires on the riding lawnmower and set about mowing the yard for the first time this spring. It’s one of those times when the entire lawn doesn’t need it, just the low spots and the areas where “Gunner” –my yellow lab– must’ve relieved himself last fall (those spots are REALLY green!).
It’s really nice to see the season change. The days are getting longer and warmer. The asparagas back by the yard building is starting to pop up, making me excited about getting some gardening done, etc.
Well, I won’t be adding anything new to truedakotan.com tomorrow –unless the fishing’s good. Really good. So wish me luck.
