HELP WANTED: Mid-Dakota Rural Water in Miller, SD is taking applications for a full-time System Technician position. This position includes maintenance and repair of electrical components, cathodic protection, pipeline, scada, booster stations, elevated storage tanks and other items pertaining to a rural water system. He/she must have a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to obtain a Class 2 Water Distribution certification within one year. Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting, work in adverse weather conditions, perform on-call duty, climb elevated water storage tanks, and enter underground vaults. Three years experience in the water field or similar work is highly desirable. The applicant must have a valid driver’s license and be safety conscious. This position offers a salary range of $15.03 to $20.04 per hour, depending on qualifications plus certification pay $.057 per hour for each applicable water distribution certification level and excellent benefits. CARD OF THANKS: I want to thank all those who have helped me during my illness, especially my daughter-in-law Theresa and my son Pat for the many things they did for me. The food and help Theresa did around my home and being with me at the hospital. Also a special thanks to my daughter Susan for taking me to my doctor appointment and to the hospital for my surgery. And having to wait so long and especially the next day when I went home. Also, thanks to Shirley Bender for taking me to appointments and doing so many things for me. And thank you to all who called, brought food, visits, and sent cards. I also want to thank my sister for coming from Nebraska to stay and help me. Thanks to Fr.
