Obituary
Floyd Kopfmann
Floyd K. Kopfmann, 89 of Huron, formerly of Alpena, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Violet Tschetter Memorial Home in Huron. Funeral services were held Monday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the American Lutheran Church in Huron. Burial was in Restlawn Memory Gardens, Huron.
He was born northwest of Alpena on October 26, 1922 to Carl and Tillie (Pederson) Kopfmann. He attended country school through the eighth grade and graduated from Alpena High School.
He attended a sheet metal school in Omaha and then moved to San Diego to work for Consolidated Aircraft.

House fire kills Jerauld County man;
Robert (Bobby) Nielsen lived near Woonsocket
A Jerauld County man died in a house fire at his home near Woonsocket on June 12, 2012.
Robert (Bobby) Nielsen, 58, of rural Woonsocket, died as a result of the fire that destroyed his home, located in Blaine Township in southeastern Jerauld County.
According to the Jerauld County State’s Attorney’s office, those responding to the 23521 393rd Ave. Woonsocket fire were the following: Woonsocket Fire Department, Jerauld County Sheriff’s Office, Sanborn County Sheriff’s Office, State Fire Marshall’s Office, and the Department of Criminal Investigation.

People visit outside the Foothills Bible Fellowship Church in Wessington Springs during the June 23-24 Wessington Springs College, High School and Acadmy reunion. Over 250 people attended the event.
Foothills Bible Fellowship – formerly Free Methodist Church- in Wessington Springs, SD, celebrated its 125th anniversary June 22-24. From coast to coast and border to border over 250 friends, faculty, staff, and alumni of WS College and Academy converged at the hillside community to honor their Christ-centered heritage that began in 1887 with the founding of the Free Methodist Church and the Seminary that was to become WS College and Academy. The College closed in 1964 and the Academy in 1968.
